Default D series engine

Hey i just picked up a 96 civ cx and the D engine that is in there is fine but i want a little more hp and tourqe in it. is there some cheap mods i can do to get past probly like 100hp of the engine.

Your engine is already making 106hp at the flywheel.

Nitrous oxide adds the most power for ther least amount of money.

correct. or turbo is always fun.

do a mini-me swap on it...then turbo...and you'll be good...if not...swap it!!!

A super cheap mod that will help, swap in a used 96-00 EX (D16Y8 motor, your CX is a D16Y7) intake manifold and cheapy eBay EX short ram. An EX tranny will wake it up quite a bit without even adding any power if you want to spend a little more but don't want to go for an all out motor swap.

you could swap a z6 in it or build it up. so you know you could get more whp out of a built d then paying 3k$ plus for a b16 build. check out this article.
