Default Boosted H22

Hey i know someone else already did a post like this but i'm new to the site anyway... i wanted to boost my h22 but i've been hearing that h22's don't do good with boost, or i'll blow my motor. i was planin on runnin a turbonetics kit t3/t4 8psi and i know what i would have to redo my internals and rebuild etc etc...but my main concern is will i blow my motor by runnin boost and runnin more than 8psi over a period of time

Make sure you sleeve the block...

With proper tuning (and fuel) you should have no problems.

with a good tune you will be fine granted your motor is healthy.

tuning with Hondata, Crome, Uberdata, Neptune, aem ems is a MUST. No ifs and or buts if you want it to last.

You'll be fine on 8 psi, now if you want to go higher then that you'll have to rebuild your motor. Like everyone else said 8 psi and a tune your golden for awhile.

ABSOLUTE CRAP...you lie sir. 8psi means nothing. its about hp. 270-280 whp is a good safe number to be at. usually that is about 8-9 psi on a t3-t4 however that 8psi wont get you that with a t25 or something small like that. psi doesnt blow motors....too much horse power and a bad tune will. there are numerous guys on here that have made well over 400hp on the stock bottom end and not blown theirs up. now i do not reccomend that...like i said before shoot for about 270-280 whp. that is about the limit you want to go on a stock bottom end if you want it to last but if you have the money and can afford to blow it up then buy a garrett t3 60-1 and boost away

8-9 is your max with an entry level turbo kit. I ran 16psi(pump gas) 22psi(race gas) for ever on a built H22 when mine was a street car. Now, after a rebuild due to balance shafts I will run around 35psi, but it is a drag car now though.

Speaking of Boosted H22's I am selling rod, pistons, injectors, boost controller, and an adjustable FPR. Hit me up if interested.

SORRY to post that here, but I am only trying to help. Isn't that what forums are for?
