B20 block Type-R internals
I made the switch a few months ago from a B18C5 to the B20 because the R motor was getting tired. I like the tourqe but the engine dosen't like rpm's obviously. I was planning on swapping the crank, rods, oil pump, and some JE pistons into it. I would think that it should work because they have the same deck height. I was wondering if anyone has done this with either a gsr or type-r crank, and if so can I expect the bottom end to hold up to 9000rpm
I also plan on adding some other safety components such as a block gurdle and block guard along with some ARP rod bolts

Get the RS 84 mm cast pistons, arp rodbolts, new main and rod bearings, either oem for a b16a to match the honda colors, or you can use acl's if all your specs come up greens. Depending on the year of your b20 you may be able to use the b20 oil pump. you really gont need the block girdle or the block guard. Just have the rotating assy balanced. Good luck with your project

they are when it comes to liter spec, but physically, no they're not exactly the same. Think of a GSR crank on steroids.
The ITR crank is treated a bit better than a GSR crank and has heavier counterweights to battle off vibrations in high RPMS.
