B20 vtec turbo size question
i got a b20vtec b20b block/b16a head and want to run low boost because weak walls. around 5/6 psi with a small very fast spooling turbo.
i want to know if i could use a t25? would the turbo die off at higher rpms? plan to take it to 7.5-8k rpms
or would it be better to run a 16g or a t3 or somthing slightly bigger than the t25?

psi doesn't matter, hp does
if you want a fast spool, then get t28
if you want more power, get t3/t4
im running 8 psi on t3.t4 and with a b20, i have more than enough torque at low rpm, and i have full boost before 4k

yes, stock block, type r internal in gsr head, sunk2 cam gears, underdrive pulley on alt, no ac/ps, dsm 440cc injectors, walbro 255 fuel pump, b&m fuel pressure regualtor, 2.5" intercooler/exhaust piping (no cat), ngk plugs, chipped/tuned ecu, new radiator with independent temp control fan, i can't remember it all
Not to burst your bubble.. But why not build it? Sleeve's, rod's, and piston's arn't that much and will give you the ability to run ALOT more boost. My brother has done a few B20/VTEC motors and the first one he did he ran on 6psi. It was a quick lil' motor, but 6psi doesn't do it justice. It pulled MASS hard down low, then after about 6500 rpm's it felt like it was all motor.
He also ran a 57 trim T3/T4 and had full boost @ 3600 rpm's on that same motor. But the next 2 motor's he built he went open motor, and built both of em. AEBS sleeves, CP pistons, Carrillo rods, Golden Eagle block guard, Type R Crank Girdle and holy hell those motors where fast. I think he made 600+ on one with a GT35R and 550 something on the other with a big trim T3/T4.
I say build it. But if you dont wanna, still run a T3/T4 so when you do, you can still run that turbo for a lil while.
