Default Bypass Valve *WARNING*

Early today, i was racing another integra .....first gear, second, third, all of a sudden Vtec shuts off....i didn't think nothing of it until, rpm starts rising and rising... it kept going all the way to 9500 rpm....instincts tell me to shut off my engine...i try starting my car while the car is cruising, but once again rpm starts going up...i knoew something was wrong.. i pulled over to side and call my uncle...he comes out checks out the car and its turns out...there is a orange rubber piece that is part of the bypass valve....it sucked all the way up to my intake manifold and jams the accelerator **** thingy ( that thing that is connected to your gas pedal in your engine bay) =P just wanted to let you guys know and to be careful.... sorry didn't mean to write a book about this..but just thought it could be a fair warning to everyone with a bypass valve...

Contact AEM and/or the place where you purchased the intake. Good luck!

I dont know about you guys but the rain hasn't caused a single problem for my aem cai, and I've even lowered the bitch 3" all around. By pass is a waste of money, unless you like driving through puddles!
