I'm by far no expert on timing, but I understand it a bit. I have a different setup and I can't find any straight answers. I am running a d16z6 block and a d16y8 head. Currently I have the dizzy turned almost all the way towards the firewall. It runs best this way, no detonation etc. The z6 head has 16* btc and the y8 head is 12*. From what I've read the cam gear is also off a half a tooth. I do have an adjustable cam gear that is set at zero. Basically what I need to know is how I should go about setting the timing. I also need to know which way to turn the dizzy to advance or retard, and same with the cam gear. Help is much appriciated!!!
