code 61. yay! seafoam crap'd my primary o2 sensor. need help
thought i was fine after i seafoam'd, but it crap'd my primary o2 sensor. just threw a code 61 earlier today. but it was fine for 2 days before it finally threw a code. but i noticed yesterday and earlier today that the car started running weird. at half throttle from a stop, it felt real weak then all of a sudden at 3.5k-ish, it kicked real hard (in 1st, 2nd, and not as hard in 3rd).
how do i go about fixing my primary o2 sensor. other than buying a new one. anyone know what ppl will charge to get one replaced and where to buy one?

yeah, that's why seafoam shouldn't be used, it screw things up. the o2 sensor is easy to replace, just pick up the socket to take it out. buying a new sensor is the expensive part.
well i was told i shouldn't expect more than $100 at autozone for a sensor. maybe the kid never bought one or just heard that somewhere.
and im guessing autozone sells an o2 sensor socket as well?

Try what I did...
I took off my O2 sensor and poured seafoam in a cup. I dipped the tip of the O2 sensor into the cup and let it sit for about 5 minutes, kinda shaking and dipping the tip in and out of the seafoam periodically. All the carbon buildup that was clogging up the O2 sensor came off of it. I plugged it back in and it worked fine. I was having the same problem you are, and that fixed it. I've done a couple of track events and Auto-X's and have had no problems.
The way I looked at it was what do I have to loose, I have to buy a new O2 sensor anyways.
