del sol radiator compatibilty problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default del sol radiator compatibilty problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY STOCK RADIATOR (IT HAD A CRACK ON THE HIGHER TANK)

IT KEPT OVERHEATING!! ANYWAYZ I BOUGHT ANOTHER RADIATOR THAT SUPOSEDLY

WAS FOR MY 93 DEL SOL SI BUT THE THING IS IT HAS TWO LINES AT THE BOTTOM (THE

NEW RADIATOR ) AND MY STOCK ONE DOESNT HAVE ANY . SO TO TRY AND SOLVE

THAT PROBLEM I PLUGED THE TWO LINES UP. BUT ITS STILL OVER HEATING AND ITS

DRIVING ME NUTZ I NEED HELP PLEASE!!!

the holes at teh bottom are for auto tranny, thats the coolant lines. dont worry bout those. if your still overheating then you may want to look into your thermostat, hoses, and hopefully not, but your headgasket.

IF it is his headgasket he would have white smoke coming out of his exhaust, and im pretty sure it wont make the engine overheat unless he burnt up all his coolant

silly noobert. white smoke dose not always come out of the exhuast, and also if the coolant is not going to where it needs to go, then of course he is going to overheat.

You have to get all the bubbles out of the system since you put a new radiator on..

so what exactly should i do? is there a way for me to use the radiator and still make it

work properly? without having to buy another one?

yes.. take radiator cap off and let the car run for a while. The system will work the bubbles out.. Keep adding water if it boils over..

nope.. i went through a whole bottle of prestone and it still overheating. my fan doesnt kick in either could that be a factor????

could be a bad fan switch... also try changing your thermostat while your at it
