OK just recently; My vtec has stop working; I have checked my vtec solinod and my oil- however my oil light is flashing too but only when I have come to a stop, I thought I was low on oil but that was not the case- this is causing my vtec not to work could this be my oil pump? What are signs of a bad oil pump?

 

stop driving the car...if your oil light comes on that means your oil pressure is dangerously low..

 

it only comes on after 10-15 mintues of driving and at a stop when my feet is on the brake...

 

you said vtec wont engage and the oil light comes on...those two things in conjunction point to low oil pressure...either that or you have a faulty oil sensor ON TOP OF a bad vtec solenoid...this isnt dangerous for your engine...but the other above situation is...up to you if you up for the 50 50 gamble on your engine

 

I think I should change my oil pump and go from there what do you think?

 

you need to hook up an oil pressure guage and see if everything is normal at idle and at 3000 rpm....
