Well when I am sitting at a stop(with clutch pedal down) its hard to get into any gear at all, and sometimes it grinds. I am guessing master cylinder. when I swapped it I bled the line and it worked great for 3 monthes.


You tell me.

P.S. shifts fine while driving.

 

Look under the clutch pedal for leaks... and is there fluid in your clutch tank?

I have checked everywhere but under the pedal. I know that the fluid reservoir is full

I have not checked for leaks but I know that the fluid resivoir is full

Have someone pump the clutch while you watch the slave cylinder...That will tell you if your hydraulic system is good...If the slave moves very little or the clutch pedal feels overly soft, you could have a bad master or slave cyl. or just air in the lines...
They can be tricky to bleed sometimes and is almost always easier to have a second person help. Use the old "pump, pump, pump, pump, hold" technique. Always works for me

there has been three inputs... wondering if you even performed any of these. Because if you haven't then there's not much H-T can help you with.

 

did you set the free play on the new master cylinder? had one do what yours is doing and in about the same time period. adjsted for the prop free play and things worked great

Its not a new master cylinder

Yeah: you don't need two people to bleed the clutch system. The valve is such that you can open it, connect it to a tube submerged in fluid, walk back to the car and pump the clutch as many times as you'd like without introducing air into the system. Technically, you can do this without submerging the line in fluid - that's how I do it - and it takes about two minutes to insure that the system is 100% full of fluid and no air.

If the master and slave cylinders are fine, it's a problem with your clutch pressure plate or throwout bearing. Sucks, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

So let me get this straight you put a used master cylinder in the car it worked great for 3 months and now it acting up. So in your mind it it can't be the master cylinder. Not to be a dick but have you done anything listed above to check for leaks. or a problem with the slave cylinder

Yes I HAVE done everything above.

since the problem started I have also changed master and slave cylinder.

I see where the confusion comes in. When I said I swapped it I meant as in swapped the motor.

You know the master cylinder isn't the one on the transmission, right? That's the slave cylinder and it's even cheaper and easier to replace

Yeah I did know that I replaced the master and that didn't work so I tried the slave and that didn't work so my guess is that its something to do with the TO bearing or pressure plate.
