WHY IS MY LS TEG IDLEING FUNNY..
when my car is cold it idles fine. but when the car is warm thats when i idle high and then drop like 700 rpm.. heres what ive done so far.. whne i change the idle screw vavle and map sensor it idle good for a while but after a week it started doin it again.. so now i have no idea what wrong with it.. and the check engine light come on when i press on the brake.. and it suck more air than it use too.. if you fut your hand on the intake tube it will litteraly suck your hand in it...and plus it suck more gas than it regulary but only when the check engine light is on.. and you can tell.. my freind said i need to replace the throttle body.. cause when we sprayed it with carborator cleaner we didint find no leak no where.. did anybody in here have the same problem.. please let me know how you fix it or what i need to replace.. ohh and yea i have a skunk2 intake manifold on my ls..

dude try taking ur distribotor cap off and make sure all ur contacts are good...dat wat happ to mine and it fixed the prob...it would not hurt to use electric grease too
The fitv(fast idle thermo valve) Take that off and take it apart. Sometimes the screw holding the wax element comes loose inside of it letting too much air in when warm. I Know the gsr's have it and im sure yours does too. Its underneath the throttle body and has coolant lines going to it.
ed7.. you were right.. and my map sensor failed again.. but its all fix now.. and now i got another problem.. my car keeps on sayin its over heatin.. but i really dont think so.. does integras when they overheat they suppose to make thiws beepin noise r something.. well if it does mine dont.. and for some reason when my car over heatsand when i turn my heater on full blast it cools my car down.. until my blower heater fan stop workin.. now it just stay hot.. thants all i can think of right now.... please help...

No beeping sound is right. Check the basics like....proper level of coolant, making sure no air is in the sytem and that the fans are turning on. Also make sure the lower radiator hose is hot because if its still cool then your thermostat is probably stuck closed and you will need a new one.
i check all that and my lower radiator hose is hot too.. do you still think **** the thermostat.. cause my car today on my way to work it over heat and i think i blew my head gasket cause after ridin my car for a while wwhile its over heatin white smoke starts comin out my exhaust.. i dont know.. ima check it out today.. and atleast change my stat.. and ima let yah know what happens...
Sounds like HG. IMO, for the 15min it takes to remove the thermostat, you should have done that and at least known if it was the problem. You can drive without a thermostat installed. If it overheated because of that, now it's gonna take I would say at least 4 hours to replace that head gasket if you have proper tools and know-how. crap..I've replaced them several times and still don't think I can do it that fast.

thank yall.. its fix now.. yea it was the thermostat.. but when i run the thing hard it over heats like right on the red line but when i turn the heater on it cools down.. fast.. but im not worried about that now.. i checked and bleed my coolin system no air on the system change my oil to0 with mobile 1 full synthetic 10 30.. and that it..and now it idles good it warms up right only over heats when i run the car hard.. and cool down when i turn the heater on full.. reground the thermostat... and that it so far...
