boosting on a 4 spd?

Default boosting on a 4 spd?

Currently putting together my turbo setup...and i dont really feel like buying another tranny. Anyone ever boosted on a 4 speed std tranny? i figure hella long gears = good for boost. Discuss.

Hella long gears are good for slow, but sure, people boost auto civics,

It's not like you can't change the tranny out when you get sick of it.

that video is a dx tranny, 4spds and hf trannys 2nd gear tops out at like 80 not 60-65. anyway long gears are not better for boost, thats b/s, in any situation shorter gears is always going to mean faster acceleration. its just a matter of if you can drive it and shift fast enough with short gears.

I've driven that car

I also just boosted a DOHC ZC for a customer, still has the 4 speed tranny. Long gears are nice, but the 4 speed gears are too long.

Actually no,,the tranny in that video is a std 4speed..

Yeah,,best thing is though about these cars is that its not hard to find 5speed trannys and its not hard to put in ,,

My 5 speed goes to fast if you ask me boosted. 1st and 2nd are gone in a zip

The 15G does it every time 1st gear...there is no first gear really. Fun to drive.

I think I'm one of the few that like the LS tranny on B16s, I like the longer gearing, just more "enjoyable"

Just Boost It IF YOu Already have The Stuff... Then WHen Ur Tired Of It Or Blow The Tranny Then Swap It Out... EAsy AS ****...
