Default CEL code 21 and 22 Vtec

I have a 95 z6 and its throwing a code for vtec, 21 VTEC spool solenoid valve
22 VTEC pressure valve. It is and obd1 motor in obd2 car, the cel will only go on when i get on the throttle and hit high rpms, guessing when vtec supposed to engage. I dont have a tach but in 1st at 35mph is when it goes on. I have a p28 ecu, wat can this be?

22 is vtec pressue switch correct?

you need to ground your vtec switch wire, its the orange/white wire

i did the 00 jdm itr swap and i had code 22 which i believe is vtec pressure switch... the motor dosnt have the switch but the ecu looks for it..hints why it throws the code

ground your vtec pressure switch wire and bam....vtec works and no cell'

you can also link 2 wires together on the ecu but i dont remember which ones get tapped together...grounding also does the same thing'

Doubtful, what kind of engine is it? Can you feel vtec kicking in? Or is it not (this way to verify whether it's just a sensor problem or it's not functioning)
