Anything is possible with money.

I think the Acura TSX is RWD isnt it?

S2k, CRV rearend may work.

But one question, why would you want to?

For the money youd spend to get anything decent out of a RWD EM2, buy you a truly RWD s2k or otherwise.

that would be ALOT of money you would have to not only put in a new tranny but get custom linkage and driveshafts change out your from axles and your rear axle and change your whole suspension setup i believe all in all you'd be better off just buying an s2000

possibly with modification to your chassis which could in turn make your car extremely unsafe

Probably not, since the cars aren't the same wheelbase. The Acura Legend also is RWD. The TSX is not.

If you're going to try and make a RWD EM2 (probably one of the most ingenius ways to ruin the car), you're going to need about 30-40k dollars in customization, which you'd be better off putting towards an S2000 or better yet, take 10k and build up an Acura Legend.

Look into a 240sx or rx-7. although s2k's are rwd they are more based for traction and for the track not for drifting.

You still wanting to make you EM2 RWD???

Im calling BS.

Its useless, pointless, and its UN-ECONOMICAL. For the money you would spend to make a EM2 RWD, you will have spent enough money to BUY a RWD car that is more useful, practical, and its SMARTER.

What a stupid waist of $$$$. Buy a cheap car with a small engine, make it real wheel drive for the price of a sr20 swapped 240, maybe even a s2000... Thinking outside the box is cool sometimes.... This isnt one of those times.

better yet, buy a RWD car for cheap, and then fix it up? like a 180 or 240sx, and then build up the motor suspension and otherwise?

there's an eg w/s2k engine and rwd conversion on ebay right now. no need to flame. people have done it. just because you dont think its worth it, doesn't mean someone else does.

Fventura03... i dont say it that much... BUT YOUR WRONG, thats just a waist of a nice engine. The car isnt at all setup for RWD, and is more of a novelty than a real street machine.

actually, i'm not wrong. if done right, it could be a real monster. of course, just slapping a ap1 motor in a civic, converting the drivetrain, and keeping it for looks in no way is a monster.

to me, is it a waste of money? yes. but others who have the money to throw away don't think so.

I also agree it would cost to much money to try and make an EM2 RWD. If your really serious about altering the FWD civic it might be more practical to make it AWD. I only say this because the Eclipse GS-T is AWD. The engine sits just like ours and came as a FWD (base eclipse). Mitsubishi just made a few modifications, to my understanding, to make it AWD. <--- just something more realistic to think about, but correct me if i'm wrong!

The hardest part of it all is all the fabrication nessecary to get any type of rear driveline in the EM.

Too much to be worth it IMO.

Im guessing about 15-20k worth of modificaton. Plus having to find an AWD trans that would bolt up, or a RWD setup that will fit, seeing as how the Ap's wheelbase and driveline is longer than the EM.

Too much to be practical if you ask me.
