C2000 project goin underway ......need input and feedback
So currently im in the process of creating my Milestone concept. some friends and i are placing a s2000 in a Ek civic coupe. Not just any frankenstien creature of a car, but we want to have a MR civic. Rear wheel drive civic for all the **** talkers who think that honda's worth a damn. We need as much guidance and feedback as possible so any and all info is appreciated.

No, but in all seriousness.. I assume your talking about the S2000's F20C/F22C motor.
1. I hope you have lots of money.
2. MR.. what tranny are you going to use since the S2000 is RWD?
3. People are going to tell you its not worth it.
4. I hope you have lots of money.
5. Good luck.
6. I hope you have lots of money.

first off, there will be almost nothing about the car that is honda, the mounting system or anything, so "proving a point" won't do anything but show off your fab skills, since its nothing like honda ever has and ever will make, your "ek" will be no more civic than it will be go kart.
#1 lots of money
#2 lots of time
#3 access to many many many machines, and lots of suspension theory
#4 knowledge to weld
#5 knowing how to do all your angles for the custom cradle your going to have to make
#6 possibly the properties of the metal your using
its a lot of work a WHOLE LOT OF WORK, you oculd use the s2k motor, and bolt that up with a K trans, and do it that way, just a rear engined car, but with doing a MR car be a bit more of a challange, so have fun, and good luck, i'd like to see it be done, but i hate to be a hater i don't think it will be done, and by the way lots and lots and lots and lots of wiring

Mid engine - Rear wheel drive
A Lotus, and most Ferrari's are MR, A VW Bug would be RR though
It all depends on the location of the engine

Yeah...listen to this guy when thinking about spending a **** ton of money for utterly no reason .
This is a terrible idea. First of all, the S2000 engine and transmission layout is FR and completely incompatable with your little MR Civic dream. You need a transverse engine for your project or you need to custom fab a transmission like a Ferrari's so the engine can sit longitudinally: obviously the second isn't going to happen at all and the first won't happen with the F20C.
You strike me as every moron 16 year old I've ever met. Think first, speak later or, in your case, think first and end it there.

Yea. It won't be done. At least by you guys, honestly.
Just do a k-series. Even that is a little hassle. If you actually do have the knowledge, time, and money though, do a swap from another manufacturer but leave it FF. For instance, there's a del sol on here with an sr20 in it. Try an RB maybe? I just don't see the MR working. You do have a better chance doing that motor FR though.
