What is IAC?

 

The IACV/EACV is the idle/electronic air control valve which decides how much air goes in to the engine at idle to keep the idle steady.

where is it and how can i check it

 

On theback of the IM, a plug with two wires and two coolanthoses, held on by two 12mm bolts. Take it off and spray some fuel injection cleaner in it to get all the **** out.

 

If you have MPFI.

I'm not sure if DPFI has it, but it's in a different location if it does. I know NOTHING about DPFI other then it sucks.

 

DPFI has it, it's somewhere, looks about the same.

Yes, it is on the driver side upper intake manifold. It is on the closest runner to the brake MC. it has 2/3 hoses and 2 bolts.
