Water pooling in rear? input? solution?
Ok I brought this up in another thread, but never really got much of an answer why. Just
recently purchased a rex and when it rains it pools up in the back where the spare was
and a lil bit on the higher part to where the wheel well begins? Now the one kid in the
you know you got an EF thread said he just drilled a hole so it wouldnt pool up, but is
this my only option? I hate the thought of drilling holes in my car, and why is this doing
this in the first place im totally freaking stumped as to how all that dam water gets in
there. Sure enough though it pools up like a son of a bitch I need some help honda
heads.

Pull all the plastic, and panels off. Sit inside the car, and have a friend run a hose over the back. Once you diagnose where the leaks are coming from you can silicon them up, or get new seals from Honda
Also I would start with the tail light gaskets, they are notorious for going bad.

Thanks homie im gonna go peel it down now. Pretty simple solution dont know why I
didnt think of that. Brain cells are the only thing that doesnt grow back

Well you called it, it was the taillights gaskets, they can hook me up at the dealer? Or
should I call Majestic? Either or? Let me add, its about 500 times easier taking off all
your panels when youve already removed the 500 screws one time before and put a
very seldom few back
EDIT: anyone have the part number handy?

I didn't want any more water in mine, and my tail light gaskets weren't too bad, so I ran a little bead of silicone caulk around the area where they mate with the sheet metal.
My sunroof drains were also badly clogged, and that was leaking into the spare tire well too. The sunroof drains are plastic tubes all the way in the rear corners of your vehicle. They actually are behind the quarter panel, and some internal bracing. Pull those out, and clean the 3" of gunk out of the bottom of them so that they properly drain as well.
