Someone I know is asking me about getting a system for their 01 Ford Escape. I'm asking you guys since other forums suck. I'm wondering if this would go together well. Also, please note that there are 4 speakers inside the doorpanels.
headunit: Alpine CDA-9856
Amp: Alpine MRP-F250 or Pioneer GM-6200F
Speakers: 4 Pioneer TS-61341R
Sub (keeping it small): Bazooka BTA 8100
Thats all I have so far, he doesnt want a buncha bass, he just wants decent sound quality. Thanks for your help!

keep the oem rear speakers and power them off the new deck. spend the money saved by not upgrading the rears on a better set of front speakers, maybe even a set of components, whether it be a set of coaxials or separates. use channels one and two to power the front components and bridge the channels 3 and 4 to power the subwoofer. after it's installed, set the fader slightly to the front, so the factory rear speakers just act as rear fill. (when you go to a concert or see a live show, where's the band? up front: front stage, rear fill) and make sure the subwoofer presents a 4 ohm load.
I agree with not buying rear speakers just leave those connected to the head unit and invest in quality co-axials/components for the front. Will sound better and save you some cash. Ch. 1&2 for the front speakers and bridge Ch.3&4 for the bass tube then adjust to your liking from there.

thanx, so can you recommend a pair good quality speakers for the front?
