Does the 92-95 Si same as 94-95 GS-R engine wire harness the same?

Someone told me that I'll have a problem with my knock sensor at a different thread. is that true? how much are you selling yours cuz so far 150 from other people.

 

well, the 92-95 Si/EX harness does not have a knock sensor or the IAB (2ndary butterfly) sensor plugs which are integrated on an OBD1 GSR engine harness. If you plan on running a KS then you'll have to wire it up from the ecu to the KS sensor on the back of the block.

but then again, if you're running a reprogrammed P28 ecu, wiring of the knock sensor is useless since the P28 ecu does not look for it, and does not have a KS pcb as well.

yes it does in stock form. But if you plan on getting that ecu reprogrammed with the infamous MUGEN program, once that program is installed, it will NOT look for a KS because of that particular program.

 

I don't plan to do mugen or chipped the ecu. The only reason i mentioned the mugen p28 cuz it was dohc obd1. Seems that p72 gs-r are over price for me. I was lucky to find this p30 ecu.

I believe p30 ecu's are jdm only.
