whats the best hood for the 5th gen as far as cooling purposes?? i have a turbo kit trying to cool down a little bit. spyder 2?? any suggestions here

 

you are wanting a "ram air" hood? cant you just heat wrap it and things like that? i doubt you will find a "nice looking" ram air hood that really flows with the body lines of the lude would you?

 

you would be better fitting vents in the area below the windscreen, lower air pressure in that area sucks air out of the engine bay and allows cooler air to flow in from underneath and in front.

 

and/or not worry about it

seems like there are 400 hp preludes and they have oem style cf hood or oem hoods

probably something you really don't need to worry about unless you've done everything else

 

have you coated your turbo exhaust housing, and exhaust manifold with a hi-temp coating? Hipercoat Extreme from HPC and Swain Tech White Lightning are well worth the money to reduce underhood temps. They last a long time and protect the metal rather than cook it like exhaust wrap does.

As far as hoods go, prop yours up a few mm at the windshied end with washers.

 

Evo style would probably work.

 

yea, i agree, i dont think there are any that would look nice with the prelude body... I saw one the other day on a EBP lude and it honestly looked repulsive.
