B18c vs ls Vtec
Depending on The ls/vtec .. my friend is pusihng 195 hp. thats ls/vtec.. i have a b18c1 and my car seems quicker.. but maybve it is? who knows. Ls vtec isnt as reliable as most will tell you on here. But anything can happen.
so to sum it up..
the difference is
with the ls/vtec you have a bigger block.. smaller head. a strong block to say at least.
if done right.. the ls vtec should have more power
and there isnt no best. its what you think.. id pick the b18c1 or c5 over and ls /vtec.. but thats just me.

A B18C has a 81mm bore and a 87mm stroke
An LS/VTEC has a 81mm bore and a 89mm stroke.
A B18C is a stock GSR motor with a VTEC head.
An LSVTEC is a GS or LS NON-VTEC block with a B16,B18C, or B18C5 head.
The LSVTEC will make more torque.

ppl on here always talk about reliability. it all depends on how and who puts together the motor. if both motors are torn apart and rebuilt, then its basically the same in reliability when put back together. my homie has a fully built gsr and put down 203/134 and my LS Vtec put down 217/139. my motor lasted 20k miles and his lasted 1k miles. both motors was built by two different people. personally if you are gonna build up the whole motor, go with the LS VTEC, more tq overall
