ECU/Audio problem?
OK I searched the ECU FAQ and didn't find what I needed. I have a 96 Civic EX, thus VTEC, and I'm going to fiberglass kickpanels in the car, so I need to move the ECU. I attempted to move it into the glove cmpt. by elongating the wires, and I found out that it wouldn't fit in there. So I uncrimped the wires, soldered, and heatshrunk each wire to their respective places... but I came into a problem. My car starts fine, no check engine light, but my Cd player will not turn on. I don't know what happened really, because I thought I had every wire soldered strongly and heatshrunk well. What I want to know is the location of the wire that could stop my Cd-player from turning on, if there is one at all. If there isn't one, then could I have blown a fuse, if so where would that be? I'm getting kind of nervous about this because if my cd-player doesn't work, what else might go wrong in the future? I know I've faulted here, but at least try helping me
Your ECU has nothing to do with your CD player. Is it the stock head unit? Does it say code on the screen?
If not check your fuses. You did disconnect the battery didn't you?

Yeah I disconnected the battery, but what if I didn't, would that have mattered any? There's a fuse underneath the driver dash and one under the hood, correct? I just have no clue as to why all of a sudden it did this. It's an aftermarket Alpine... tomorrow I'll check for continuity and then power after work just to see if it's either a fuse or it's the CD player. And if you mean code on the screen, like the cd player, no it is just a blank screen, but if you meant OBD code scanner I don't have access to one of those yet.
