Can you tell if the alarm was ever set off? If so, get an add-on car alarm pager so you can run down and bring on the smackdown. If they're using a slim jim I dunno if shaved handles would make much difference since they're fishing inside the door instead of the handle.

no alarm is going to prevent all theives, break in's thefts... alarms thwart amateurs and may shave off a lil time from when they get in/take your car for the more experienced.. if a pro really wants your car he'll get it one way or another...

you could add a pager to your alarm system.. it has dual stage shock sensor where it chirps at light thumps and goes off on harder ones.. .and not a single stage which only goes off on hard impacts right? along w/ the pager (so you can come out and shoot his ***) you might also get a proximity sensor... shaving the door handles takes away 1 way (busting the lock) but I can think of about 5 or 6 other ways they can get in....

when they break in are they opening your hood and disabling your alarm before they break in? you might look into a hood lock (to lock the hood shut so they cant cut the power to the alarm, and a hood pin (for if they disable the hood lock.. once the hood opens the alarm sounds.. and battery back up.. so when they defeat the hood lock, cut the power wires.. it still goes off...

I suggest a large dog or armed guard.

The unfortunate thing is that if someone wants your car (or something in it), they'll take it. Consider one of those wireless cameras if you park close to where you work (x10.com).

I was curious to learn about a more "agressive" alarm system that would zap the **** of anyone who touches the car. Haven't seen anything like this yet.

just dont leave valuable **** like cds or anything else worth anything cause nothing really is gonna stop a brick from breaking your window but if you want people to not steal your car i would put in like a fuel cut off switch or kill switch to your car and hide it well then take some **** off the engine like spark plug wires or a fuse and never mount your alarm close to where someone can cut the wire it happend to me some just broke in really quick poped the hood then cut the siren wire.
