Default Transmission / clutch help. please!!!

I just replaced my manual transmission in a 95 civic 1.5L LX. I also replaced the pilot bearing, release bearing, clutch disk and pressure plate. Everything was going smoothly. I reversed out of my carport and driveway, about 40 feet, and it sounded good. I put the car into 1st gear, and about 5 feet later, I heard and felt a "pop" sound. Now the car wont move. The shifter feels like it is going into gear, but it will not engage. There is a faint grinding noise when it is any gear and in neutral, but the noise disappears when I depress the clutch pedal. The car can be pushed while in gear. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bryan

did you put grease on the shaft where the throwout bearing goes?
Did you torque everything down to factory spec?

get under your car and see if one of your axles popped out, thats probably is whats causing it.

Sure enough, I got under the car, and the drivers side axel had popped out. I havent had a chance to fix it yet, but would that cause both wheels to stop spinning? As you can see, I am not very automotive literate. Thanks for your help,
Bryan
