i have a 95 civic coupe 1.5 dx and i'm having trouble getting the altenator off, I can't get it of the bottom pivot bolt, any tricks, I need help asap, thanks guys

 

you have to take the bolt out, thats why.
use a punch to take the bolt out, then a pry bar to rock it out

 

I've taken a punch to that bolt and it will still not budge, this is royaly pissing me off, is there any other ticks, I've sprayed it with wd-40 and the bolt moves freely but I can't punch it out

So you can't get the bolt out is what you're saying. Is the nut removed? I'm not sure how this is a problem. I've removed this bolt literally 50 times and it has never once been a problem.

 

yes the bottom pivot bolt for some reason will not get out, the nut is off and I've tried banging it out which did absolutely nothing, its driving me nuts this is all I have to do before my car is totally fixed

 

try wiggling the alternator while pulling on the bolt, wiggling always works for me

 

wiggling did nothing

 

I had the same problem once and i just kept bangin on it and it came out. I used wd40 and used pliers on one side and wiggled it and hit the other side and it finally came out. Goodluck its one those thing that really **** ya off.
