If it says 5,000 then do it then.

 

You should be able to go 5000.

If you've done some hard driving then go ahead and change it. There's no harm for an early oil change.

 

i got mine at 4000 gunna get next one at 8000

and before ANYBODY asks how 2 make that % back to 100% again, u press the dash button until it reads the oil life percentage then you hold it for about 10 seconds and it will go back to 100%.

i did mine at 1800 miles.

 

Change it twice a week at least. I do mine on Sundays and Wednesdays. I freak if I accidentally skip a day imagining the horror I'm causing my engine by allowing it to go for more than 50 miles on an oil change. Don't take chances. Change it,

 

I think the Honda Engineers when contributing to that fine piece of text called an Owner's Manual knew a little bit about what they where talking about when that book was written. Unless the vehicle sees intense harsh driving conditions, then do as recomended.
