It can handle the Stock redline
Don't over rev it unless you have something done to make power,
and to keep it all together up that high..

cant say ive ever heard of broken ringlands from overrevving...more like floating valves that end up in piston to valve contact

anyway, why would you want to rev a stock non vtec past redline? even shifting at redline with a non vtec sometimes feels unessisary.

what? why would you want to rev a VTEC engine past redline? and why is reving a non VTEC engine to redline sometimes unnesessary?

Your engine is almost stock, why would you do this, I don't know...You must want a new engine...I see you posting another thread on floating valves and loss of HP very soon! HAHAHAHAHA! LOL...Keep reving past 6800...

i said it is un nessisary to rev a non vtec to redline because it stops making power at 6500 rpm.

To the OP, if you have a stock engine, why do you think your car would like a higher redline. Honda put the redline where it is on purpose.

if you were to shift at 6500 with an ls transmission you would drop below peak torque on every upshift....thats why you shift at redline...the gsr peaks at 7500 is that where you should shift though??? power falling off is just one side of the picture...you must look where your upshift will land you if you were to shift there...

will after all this that i heard i sold my chipped ecu already..and yes it was an ebay chip but if it works o well but thats okay i figured that the ls dont make anymore power after trying it out for myself ..the chipped ecu felt more power though pulls harder and faster i tried against my home boys Ls i pulled him like a fender and usually we're equal..
In for the "oh **** i need a new motor"
Dude, wtf are you doing? why would you rev past redline racing? to help you lose?
your stock motor wont make power past redline All your doing is fawkin up your motor man, and if you want to turbo it in the future, take it easy otherwise your gonna have more problems in the long run...
Kids these days.
*edit* Just read the whole thread. Good choice on getting rid of the chip
