Default ls question

i have a 91 honda civic hatchback with a ls b18a1 swap and a pr4 obd0 ecu. my car redlines at 7200, and im in the process of ordering a chipped ecu. i have heard a couple of different things about my stock redline. one thing i heard is that if i dont upgrade the valvetrain i cannot go past the stock revlimter. another thing i have heard is that i can go past the stock revlimiter with the stock valvetrain. what im trying to figure out is that when i order the ecu do i get the revlimit set to 7200 like my stock one, or can i get it set higer with no problems? can anyone help me with this?

When you remap the computer you can do whatever you want depending on how you chip it.

Why would you want to set it higher? That motor only makes power UP to 7200. On stock everything it's not gonna do **** but wear your motor down a lot faster.

so theres no point in setting it higher? i was worried about setting it higher and if i ever missed shift and redlined i didnt want to mess nothing up. theres a guy with the same engine i have and he has a chipped pr4 and he redlines at 9K, and is using stock internals thats why i asked.
