Default spark plug poped out =( need help...searched...

i was driving home yesturday and i hear this loud pop from the engine bay, i pull over pop the hood and i realize a spark plug poped out. well my friends were able to come bring me a new one and i was able to make it home. what could cause the spark plug to do that? and ive alrdy search. Thanx in advance

didnt tighten it very well..it obviously unscrewed since u were able to put a new one in. if it "popped out" it would have stripped the threads.

is it possible for it to have come loose? i was able to tighten the new spark plug in though. and would i be in alot of trouble if the treading got messed up?

wen was the last time u had them changed? if it was recent. they prob werent tq'ed down right and just loosed up...that is if they went back in with no problem's

i changed them about half a year ago. thats why im kind of confused about how it poped out like that but if i was able to put the new one in then i should be fine right?

Right. Just make sure you torque themm down correctly.

there should be a spec in ur owners manual or ur haynes manual..if not..turn them till there snug..then about a 1/4 turn. and u should be gone.
