Default How much boost can a stock Si handle?(max boost not power)

I was at a club meet and this guy had a dx hatch running a turbo with 5-10psi. This was on the pos dp injection setup all stock no aftermarket injectors fuel rail etc. I have an Si so how much should I be able to handle until the engine begins to starve itself of fuel?

The crankshaft can only hold up to 35 psi, but the rods and pistons and bearings are all good to 300 psi...so you'll be best off hookin up a hair dryer to your intake with the heat on...tell me how it works out...

I was just wondering because some people cant afford to put a complete turbo set up on a car with injectors and aftermarket accessories. I am not an idiot just someone asking for advice. That is all I come here for. I obviously know that running something radical like 30psi on a completely stock engine would be stupid but I have heard of people running on just the stock fuel components and running 3 or more psi.

DBAD dude.

hey man, the search sucks never works for me. Im gonna be running a t25.. internal wastegate can only go down to like 8 psi. Its a small turbo with a side mount and dsm injectors with some kind of fuel mangement you can safely run 10psi id say at the most... u dont want to exceed more then 50 or so hp with a stock internal d16. If u wait and research u can make ur own setup fairly cheap. non v tec rods and pistons with milling work will cram into ur 1.6 and hold up to 300 hp. do some research and ull learn quite a bit. have fun.

and while your at it buy some 3 inch tube.

put blower in your car

run that 3 inch tube out to your intake manifold

You can't ask how many PSI your motor can handle unless you mention the turbo you want to use. For example, 10psi on a 14b isnt the same as 10psi on a gt35r.

You can probably run 40psi with a t4 turbo but how long will it last..? 2 minutes?

Also the engine wont starve itself of fuel as long as you have the proper fuel management and tuning,,,do somemore research before you blow your **** up....

Maybe your thinking of Vitara pistons?

For the pistons i wasnt quite sure sry guys... I wanted to bore my si block out to fit the 1.8 pistons. My friend re did his integra and he has immaculate piston and rods for 30 buks. Ohh and a t25 10 psi on a stock internal street tuned Si motor should hold right?
