Default Backwards Injectors...?

Is it possible to run the injectors spun backwards?? Ive heard people say you absolutely can't run them that way, but i have no idea why that would cause a problem...The only thing i can see is it not fitting with the clips, but if it does, why couldn't you? Has anyone done this??

I don't think the clips fit.

is that the only reason, cuz i have a z6 fuel rail on my car and i was lookin and it will fit...and im tempted to do it, because the rail looks real nice polished up and id like to flip em around if i can, but ive always read to line them up how they are factory...?

I have that rail also, and I do believe it doesn't look like they'll spin, if you want to try it's a piece of cake, would take 5 minutes.

im just afraid to spin em around, there brand new oem injectors, they cost 320 bucks for four of em...the guy bought them right before he sold me the car, so i don't wanna spin em if its gonna mess them up internally, thats why im trying to find out first if anyone has done this without problems...

just go get the corrent injector plugs and wire them up, if you can find the right plugs at the junk yard they wouldnt charge you more then five bucks

They're fine to spin around, don't worry, I'd try mine but one has a blown o-ring and the leak is stopped by rtv, so I don't wanna press my luck.
