Default tach rpm problems???? rpms jumping around.

So I was just driving home and my rpms just start jumpin around like crazy and the car starts running like crap. The rpms are jumpin all the way from 7k down to 0 rpm while the car is still running. Its never had this problem before, but i should add that i just swapped in a jdm d15b like last week. Is this an electrical problem? I checked all my connections the only thing i can think of is that the igniter unit is going out. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

A bad ignitor would certainly cause that problem... That is usually what causes a tach show bad.

ok i went to pull the igniter out, pulled the dizzy cap off and there was oil inside. not alot, but enough to pour a little out. there is no leak outside or around the dizzy, just in it. Is this something i could fix, or do i just replace the whole dizzy?
