want to drive dammit!
i got the beast sitting in the garage (again) b/c of some ******* problem that has got to be fuel/ignition related. car willsputter so violently at times that it will acutally chirp the front tires.
\
things i have checked so far
air filter (cleaned)
plugs (replaced)
plug wires (replaced)
dist timing
ecu (swapped with a friend)
things i still want to check
fuel filter
iacv wiring (still throwing a code 14)
o2 sensor
cam timing
injectors
any one else got any ideas? and btw the sputtering seems to only occur under load. (when i am moving)

ya, a lot of people have mentioned that and maybe i should listen. altho i will feel really stupid if that is the problems considereing the amoutn of time i have wasted. to me i fell that every day that goes by that i dont get to drive my car is pretty much an unfufilling day.
Do these things first......
Put car in neutral......bring tach up to 4g and hold it. if it doesn't sputter, it's not a fuel problem.
Put the car in first gear, with the clutch all the way in, floor up to 5g. If car move forward, your flywheel is warped and needs to be resurfaced.
If it only occurs under load, I guarantee your timing belt has jumped. I have had mine jump like 4 times.
What kind of gas are you running? Make sure you are buying gas from a newer station. you may have water in your gas. Check your injectors also. Put 93 octane gas w/ some gumout injector cleaner. And continue to use 93 octane for like 2 months. My mechanic told me never to put 87 because it clogs injectors, even though the car can't utilize all the octane, it's still better than the 87 crap.

check the wires going into the eacv.
does the car idle very low by any chance too?
my old motor did the same thing when it pulled code 14, and when i'd unplug it, seperate the wires (get them away from each other, my guess was they were grounding out?) plug it back in check idle and it'd be fine.
just a thought...

THis is what caused my car to act like that. under your distributer cap
there are 3 or 4 wires well one of them was loose and has causing the spark to come on and off making it sputer real bad. open your cap and check for any loose wires that might help.

Know how you fell man!
Let's see, I started the actual labor on the swap at the end of December...now I still don't have it running the way I want! (code 14) and other small things. The best I got out of it is "acceptable".
