Well, for the past few years I have owned 3 nice DA9's and a 91 Si (ugh!), but lateley I've thinking about getting something different. I'm not too much into the DC Integras and I want something newer. I've been checking ou the RSX-Type S for a little while while and I think It's for me. I've always been able to afford a car payment/ insurance, but I just never wanted to. I think I'm about ready to "grow up" a little now. Are there any good reasons I should purchase on of these as opposed to any other Honda out there for the money? If I do buy one it will be used w/ low miles, around $17K. Thanks everyone!!!
Well, the only real reason I could think of is theft. The DC5-S has a lot of parts worth money on it and if you park it outside or in an area that is not too safe, you might have your car missing.
Other than that, it's a great car to have. Luxurious and fast enough to get around town with. The other option would be the EP hatch.

Both the EP hatch and the DC5 RSX-S r very nice cars. The EP hatch is gonna be a little cheaper then the RSX and alot of people r still iffy on the looks. I was looking at both recently but ended up picking up and EP hatch because i like the looks of it and it was a few thousand dollars cheaper then a comparable RSX-S.
i think the ep3 is very unique and fun to drive...comparing to the rsx-s is juss a little bit better, but its about $4-5K more. man, i love my si hatch..thats my opinion.
Definitly an ep or a rsx. I love my ep except for the mini mini van comments from my friend but when its lowered with some rims u aint no soccer mom. If u dont want to spend as much i go with the ep but if u can afford the payments of a type s and still have extra money to mod go for the Type S....

$12K EP + $5K K24A2 swap (total cost) = a mini-minivan that'll spank a Type-S..
(just adding to the confusion.. lol)

You know, I never even considered the EP as an option. It's a nice car, though it does seem a little "watered down" compared the Type-S

Neither did I (consider it, that is). I was looking at some WRX's this past weekend to replace my dying 94 Civic Si (stock beater), and on a whim I tested an 03 Si, and came home with it.
No regrets here, turns out it had Tokico shocks/springs and an AEM intake I didn't even notice when I looked it over at the dealer

iono the ep really reminds my of the old school oddessys from back in the day. just as a compact form of it. i think you should go with the rsx type s
u kno, i am a type s owner, and everytime i see an EP3 on the road, i get more impressed with them. they arn't really that bad of a car (looking). however, the motor has alot to be desired
