Default h22 in civic help

the car just died on him while he was cruising. now when he cranks it, you hear a strong pop and the dash ligts get dim and sometimes.i hear clicking form the main relay area, occasionally
but fuel pump is priming.

ocasianally the motor will almost crank. like 1 in 15 tries.

i dont konw what to check for.

we tried push starting but the wheels just locked up when he let go of the clutch.

any suggestions

Yeah unfortunatly sounds like the timing belt could have broken, to check just take the valve cover off and look at the belt, in that case, you probly bent at least 1 valve, maybe all of em, first thing I'd do though is check that belt. Good luck.
