Default BOV Install Bay Area (Welder Needed)

This HKS SSQ has been sitting on my computer desk for 3 months and i need this installed!!

I have 0 welding experience and have been rejected from muffler shops (booo)

I have the flange and all i need is someone (professional) to hole-saw it and weld the flange on...i dont want anymore compression surge.

So if anyone could please point me in the right direction to someone or someplace that does good welding work...

PM me

edit: this is rb25det s13

So you took a charge pipe and a flange up to them and they said no?? Man, tough crowd where you are

You can look up automotive repair houses...especially ones that do body work, they should have a welder on duty. I'd say cut the hole out first so that its 100% ready for them to weld it on (so its easy money in there eyes).

Actually! You could. You wouldn't hit boost for ****, but you could operate under vacuum OK. Or you could wrap something around it while you drive...it might not be super air-tight, but it would be good enough to drive normally.

I believe that the rb25det has a "flap-door" that the ecu reads to accomodate the fuel management, so if there is even the slightest leak in his charge pipe system the engine will either not run at all, or run so poorly (lean) he could damage the engine. Flap door systems are extremely picky with vaccuum/boost leaks.

no seriously..is there anyone who can do this for me?..

phil said he cant do it..muffler shops around here wont do it..and the local body shop wont take the work..

it seems no one wants to go out of their busy way to do somethin small like this..which is completely understandable..

but i seriously need this done..im tired of the compressor surge

if anynoe tried to PM me..my PMs dont work so i cant recieve anything...

Or you could buy somehting like this....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...wItem

The flange is welded onto a 2.5" pipe (not sure which size you're running) and you just install it inline. Did this when I had my greddy bov.

Cut your hole. Slit a spare silicone couple or even a larger section of rad hose lenghtwise. Wrap it around the hole you cut and use a hose clamp on each side of the hole to secure it. Drive to go get it welded.

lol...yea, you could do that I guess. I've tried using jbweld before to weld an intercooler to the bumper. Worked until I hit a dip in the intersection, and had to u-turn to go pick the IC up out of the street.
