if i going LS block and 2000 b16a2 head and i want to put p30 in do i have to deck the head gasket???

deck a head gasket rofl.

you deck a head to raise compression. you use a thicker head gasket to lower it.

use an ls/vtec headgasket. cometic makes one i think.


take it to a professional to have the head put on though.

because it sounds like you have no clue what youre doing and building an ls vtec is alot of work and must be done right to be reliable and last.

do it yourself and learn. you can only learn from mistakes, and other peopls mistakes. thats what honda-tech is for. go read up and decide for yourself if you can do it. go through the whole process in your mind.

ad its pretty much worthless unless you do pistons too....hope you know that. throwing a vtec ead doesnt magically make you fast. the compression is still pretty low
