would a bad alternator make ur battery die overnight. ive been having problems this last week of my battery dieng on me. everytime i check the alternator to see if its good by disconecting the battery the car dies automaticaly. i got the battery reloacted on the back of the car but tha wireing is not the prblem because i yook like 3 hours cjecking every single wire that went to the the battery on the back to see if one was grownding somewhere. today as i oppened the hood with the engine still running the alternator was smoking so i knew it was toast.TIA
