I figured that's what you were missing, my first tranny removal experience I didn't know that, it got dark, and I had to give it up,

Goooood luck.

Is this in the engine bay? You can't really take the engine out without the tranny because the input shaft on the tranny pokes out quite a bit.

You can take the cable off the vss without pulling the vss.

You should be able to just pull the cable out unless you want the whole vss out, which is difficult...try penetrating fluid and gripping the very bottom and wiggling side to side.

Yeah, I sold my cable so I forget what it looks like exactly, , but I'm pretty sure the cable just yanked out of the vss, or screwed, or something simple.

There are 6 or 8 (I forget) bolts around the outside of the pressure plate, they're either 10mm or 12mm, low torque, 12 point, take it off, the disc will fall off, and then if you need to the flywheel has 6 17mm 12 point bolts.

Go get a set for 10 bucks or whatev, very helpful, flywheel bolts you need to try your luck or use air tools. I got a set off once by bracing the engine and stomping on a wrench...I wouldn't reccomend it though.

if you cant get em though you can break it loose by hitting the end of the wrench with a hammer a couple of times ... you dont even have to hit that hard.
