I had a gsr turbo hatch.the secondary butterflies never had the vaccuum on.So vtec would kick harder one time I guess.Now I just bought a stock gsr the vauum is hooked up but I was wondering if I got a vtec controller,would it trigger the secondaries too? Or even if a got a single stage vtec chipped ecu would that send the signal as well? Or would I have to cut the signal wire for the secondaries and tap it t0 the vtec solenoid signal wire?

 

I run my butterflies with an RPM switch. Only the P72 ECU has the transistor to operate the butterflies. (I think there is a Prelude ECU that can do this too, but it won't work for Integras.) BTW: The butterfly solenoid output is independent of the VTEC solenoid output. With the stock cams, the butterflies should open after the VTEC is already operating.
