Default B16 Shortblock & GS-R Head??

I reciently had my 1996 OBD2 GS-R block bored over to ITR specs.
Brand New PISTONS, Rings, Bearings, Rod Bolts, Head Studs, Water Pump, Timing Belt etc.

It was running well, passed inspection with no CEL. Made it to 418 miles.
Then I was getting of the highway one day and I heard the dreaded KNOCK coming from under my hood.

So my engines knocking. Im assuming i SPUN a bearing.
Its gonna cost me ALOT more than I wanna pay to repair that.

I Found a JDM B16 Short Block for sale Localy. I kno my Head will fit, but my questions are...

Will my B18C1 Oil Pump fit the B16 block?
Will everything off my B18C bolt up to the B16 Block?
What Head Gasket do I use?
Do I need to run any type of Management or will my stock ECU be ok?

No I didn't Search because im in a VERY BIG HURRY
so please dont tell me to do so.
I just need it fixed ASAP.

what u should do is reverse the set up. Repair your gsr bottom end and slap a b16a top end on it. U will get more low end power and better high end toruqe

Dude are you retarted, he is not asking how to improve on his setup, if he wanted that info he would of posted the topic as " Blew my motor AGAIN, how do I make it better"

I would just buy a new oil pump for the peace of mind, you have gone through 2 motors now. And everything is interchangeable

How so? The B16 head flows worse and will result in a minor compression drop, not to mention that the cams suck *****.

I know the B16 Head flows better, but I just got new valves, springs and retainers in my GSR head. and a skunk2 IM.

Today, Im planning on pulling my oil pan and looking to see what the actuial problem is.

If I damaged a Rod because of a spun bearing, ill replace it w/ the entire b16 bottom end.

If the rods and crankshaft are ok, ill just replace the bearings.

If the rods are ok, but the crankshaft is damaged, ill just take the crankshaft out of the b16 block and put it back in my GSR w/ new bearings. But mostlikley if the crankshaft is damaged, so is that specific rod.

anyone see anything wrong w/ those plans?

i believe the oil pump differs because of the oil pan. one sits lower than the other. you don't want to deprive your motor of oil.

i'm pretty sure one of your bearings just let go. if your rod isn't bent, just change the bearing.
