Help... B16 block w/ GSR head
Well, my I found out my GSR block is messed up so i'm planning to pick up a B16 block, so I could mate it with my GSR head. I've been looking it up but there isn't much on it, seeing as it isn't common. I heard that I would need to use the GSR head studs and b16 timing belt. What else do I need to be able to do this swap? What water bump do I use, etc? Any help would be appriciated! Thanks ahead of time!

Re: Help... B16 block w/ GSR head (superfast666)
Doesn't seem like a good idea to drop your displacement 12% when the sizes of these motors are so small to begin with. You are gonna take a significant performance hit by doing that. The B16 cylinder head is far superior to the B18C in my opinion.
If it was me who blew my motor and wanted a new block, this would seem like a perfect time to get an LS block to drop that GSR head on. Go with a mild setup (keep the revs below 7k), and you still have a reliable engine (if properly built and maintained) that has more torque than the engine you blew.
