Default new JDM B16A with bad idle

Ok I just got a jdm b16a swap for my 92 hatch. I installed it and I started it up still on jack stands. It starts then dies unless I push the gas then it will stay started and idle, but it revs a couple hundred RPMs. I adjusted the timing so it isn't that... and it smokes quite a bit also, but not too bad. Its white smoke so That means coolant. I'm wondering if it's the head gasket? I don't have a CEL on so I don't think it's a sensor, I dunno. Anyone know what it could be? thanks

Ahh. well Also when it's idling, if I push the gas like farther than halfway then it dies. I think an injector (or more than one) might be clogged and it's not getting gas. thanks for the Head Gasket info

well may sound crazy but take a ratchet and hit(tapping) each one of the injector's w/car off....it's work for me to many times with bad idleing cars

i had the the same problem with my jdm b16a. had a bad idle and alot of white smoke. i changed the pvc valve and it took care of the problem. i usually suggest this because it's like $3 to fix (if that). hope this helps.

Yes it did help. Thanks. I replaced the pcv valve and there is no more smoke. but It's still not starting unless I push the gas. and it still stalls when I push the gas farther than about 50%. It's probably not getting gas. I tryed tapping the injectors like you said and it didn't seem to do anything. thanks for all of your help so far.

I rotated the distributor to adjust the timing. Also I realized that my guages don't work... it's really wierd. It has a fairly new fuel filter, and no cel's.
