Default VTEC problems

Well my vtec is going in and out, one second vtec will kick in and the next minute it won't. I seem to have a small leak in my vtec solenoid, probably from my gasket, could that be the reason I am losing vtec? Should I just get a new solenoid? Are there any other possibilities it could be? Please lmk asap.

well I just had an oil change done, but I could be low because of the leaking, so get another oil change, get another gasket and I'll be good to go?

You don't necessarily need another oil change, just check your oil. If it's low add some. Next time you change your oil change your VC gasket and oil pan gasket just to be sure. But you need to go outside and check your oil right now so you can narrow down the problem. You don't want to be running around with low to no oil in your motor. That's when things start to knock.

Alright so what happened is so far I remembered that I had stripped one of my valve cover nuts and it pretty much broke the bolt, I found the leak of my oil and it is from that, it is actually building up enough pressure to shoot out at my hood and make it onto my front bumper, I bought the new bolt needed and hopefully this will fix the problem.

Well I replaced both of my vtec solenoid gaskets and that fixed my oil leak problem but now I am not getting any vtec at all, should I replace my solenoid all together?

did you add more oil? did you plug the solenoid back in? just becuase you fixed the leak doesnt mean it wont be low, not bangin on ya but a lot of simple fixes like that are overlooked.
