i want to buy turbo kit for my crx with b16a1 swap, any suggestions??
hey guys i was just wondering what input some people have on turbo kits, and let me tell u what i want out of this kit. I am not looking to build a drag car, but a street car so i dont need a powerful turbo system cause i still want my handling capabilities, i probably will go no more than 6-7 psi, and i also heard from one of my friends that the t28 turbos are better for low boost cause they will spool faster, can anyone let me know where i can get a complete kit that is not to expensive or should i just piece one together off of ebay, let me know, thanks alot.
thats not a bad kit, a buddy of mine hade one on his gsr, it spooled pretty good. I have the same intercooler for my rex, you have to trim the bumper a little, but you should be satisfied with the kit though.
also man, you might want to go to http://www.homemadeturbo.com There are some guys there who spend under 1000 bucks on a full turbo kit and are making power, i wish i could say the same i spent 3100 bucks for mine and i pieced mine together, i thought i could save some money, but oh well, i got high quality stuff, this is something that you REALLY dont want to cheap out on
i dont want to go cheap on it but i dont need to be making ALL that much power with it, its going to be my daily friver and i just want a nice 7psi turbo for the car, but nothin to scare the hell out of me

anybody else look at the kit on ebay just wonderin if anybody else has used it or suggest anything else
you have to get your ecu tuned, if you want to stay obd0, go with turboedit. I swapped mine over to obd1, and im using uberdata and i have a set of 450cc injectors, and im about to buy a walbro 255. you dont need to get all that stuff, but i would recommend it.
If you want a pre-made kit look into drag or revhard..They both make kits for the Crx with b-series motor...And they both come with basically everything you need..
I would reccomend you do custom though..If you need help with anything or a parts list ,fuel management ,or whatever pm me..

I would suggest building your own kit, or have one built for you. You can build one under that ebay price and have better parts+ correct fuel management.
I know of 2 people locally that have purchased that same kit you are looking at and had the turbo fail, just to find out that it was not a true Turbonetics turbo and that "No Hassle" warranty is B.S.

yeah if i could geta parts list that would be great u could just email them too me, but everytime i started adding everything of it would always start getting up to about 3000 dollars and then i might as well just buy a kit.
the main thing that i want to worry about when piecing a turbo kit together is the turbo is the size and the brand, also the manifold for the turbo is made out of a strong material and wont crack easily, and also fuel managment, and then i just need to piece together inter cooler piping, then the fmic, bov, wastegate, ect.
and what about something like this to start and then get everything that i would need

the t28 is great forlower power set ups i have one on my civic d16 and it is great , 1500rpms under load its already making 3lbs of boost. and as every one else said you can put together a very nice kit on a budget esp since you are using stock motor. stay away from the ebay turbo, think about it pay a little less for something that you have to replace and will most likely leave you stranded. i cheaped out and used crappy clamps and missed a dyno time bc we were on the side of the highway.a pipe blew off bc i didnt want to buy t clamps.
I have a few NEW turbo parts that I was about to list on my site.
Blox B series cast manifold
Tial Wastegate
used Apexi turbo timer
Piecing a kit is fairly easy and won't cost 3k. You can check out 3 setups on my site
