2nd gear is acting NAUGHTY!
ok well im not sure whats going on with the k20 yet again...
had some fun tray sliding in the empty walmart parking lot for a little. i was really pushing the car to its limit or anything just having fun spinning and what not. so time to go. let the emergency brake down leave the trays behind. start going ,first shift is up 1st to 2nd. 2nd gear feels realllllly bad. it doesnt feel like its locked in place. it feels kinda "mushy" . and i have the clutch all the way in and when you shift you can hear a slight grind. im not sure what the hell is going on with my gearbox. anyone heard of anything of this nature?

oh typo by the way everyone i WASNTTTTTTT AS IN WAS NOTTTTT PUSHING THE CAR VERY HARD, I DIDNT EVEN SHIFT TO 2ND GEAR WHEN TRAY SLIDING....just a correction
Put fastfood trays underneath your tires for limited traction and then you slide around because of it.
The transmission is sensitive, you probably damaged somehow prior or during your tray sliding. Try to replace the transmission fluid and after, see if it is still acting the same way.

Check clursx, go to search on there forum and look HARD for synchros. There is a bonefied problem with the RSX S tranny up until half way through 06. If it is bad enough and still has a warranty the Acura dealer should replace it. If they don't there is actual paper documents that you can print out stating that Acura knows they have a problem. The unoficcial recall states that the shift cables and the proper synchros need to be replaced.

labor is 800 bucks so i think im gonna drop out my motor and have some engine bay space for a while.
work, get cash, rebuild the tranny completely (exedy single hyperstage clutch,toda lightweight flywheel,1.5 way LSD, etc.)

my 2nd gear is really notchy compared to the other gears...its not bad enough to have me worried yet but its def. noticable and i have never done trays in my car.......yet
