gaskets, water pump, belts, plugs and wires, maybe even arp head bolts... also a compresion test never hurts... just make sure it is in good operating condition... make sure you get it tuned... as soon as possible, an untuned motor, even with a "base map" is still untuned... take it to a dyno if at all possible

Good answer noob.

Like akda said, make sure the motor is in good condition and take it to get tuned asap.

An aquaintance of mine is making 300+whp on a stock B16.

Eventually you'll need a new clutch. Mine lasted 6 months, but it went out in the burnout box at the track.

how much hp/tq are trying to accomplish? depending on your hp/tq, on the high end, sleeves, pistons, rods, cams, valves would certainly beef up the motor...

When you say cheap turbo kit I think of the **** on ebay! The Drag and and Revhard kits are priced at $2600, is that cheap???

Also, after doing research, I found that these kits are pretty much beginner kits that push around 250hp. I'm looking to push at least 300hp without much stress to the engine and am now looking at something like the Full-Race Stage 1 kit, but price on this kit is $3800 and over my budget.

What do you think of these kits???

those kits are okay, custom sometimes can be better don't forget engine management and tuning are important too.

there are turbonetics kits with log manifolds and a turbonetics t3/t4 on ebay for $1800. some other companys renamed them as their own but, comes with quality **** including a spearco fmic. throw in another $700 for injectors, walbro pump, fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator etc. and a tune.

and by the way, most of us on honda tech arent down for being servants. either search for threads where people have already done what youre looking to do or do it own your own and learn on your own like they had to, then come back here and contribute to h-t what youve learned. thanks.
