If you where going to make a heat shield what kind of metal to use?
i'm thinking about making a heat shield to surround my intake from the turbo cause my engine bay is really hot. what kind of metal should u use? Aluminum or something else? any useful input would be nice
Gold.
errrrr...Aluminum would work fine, the idea is just to block the radiant heat, so really, any material would work well.

Stainless steel..... It doesn't absorb heat very well, so it won't transfer heat to the other side well either. But Stainless steel is tough to work with and bend. If you're not good at metal working, use Aluminum. there wouldn't be all that much of a performance difference anyway.
