turbo problem i am reall a moran
i was putting on my waste gate and i dropped a bolt into the manifold, so i decided to be lazy and use a magnet to get it out. Big mistake now there is a magnet stuck in my iturbo, i bought the turbo used so i was thinking about getting it rebuilt, but there was no shaft play.. Im new to the turbo scene and don't know that much would u guys be able to help me out its a precision turbo ....

Yes.... you take off the hosing on the turbo.
Then go get your garden hose and hook that up to the compressor.
Turn on the water and get FULL BOOST!
Now on a more serious note.....
There are two housings on a turbo. Turbine side and compressor side.
Unbolt the turbo from the manifold.
Then unbolt the turbine housing from the turbo and pull out the magnet.

haha thats not nice. Yes you will have to take the housing off. Not too hard to do just unbolt the exhaust housing since I assume thats the one it went into. Sometimes it might be hard to get it off if its an older turbo that was used because the heat pretty much joins the center section of the turbo and the housing together. You might need to use some heat and a rubber mallet to smack the housing off the center section to retrive your bolt or magnet or whatever you dropped in there.

Actually he probably won't even have to take off the housing.
Just unbolt the turbo, cause a magnet is not going to make it past the turbine.
He can probably just reach in and get it.
