i need to weld a -10AN fitting to my oil pan and i have herd different things about welding a brass fitting to an oil pan. is it possiblr? i know a really good welder. or does anyone know where i could get a -10AN steel nipple?

 

You can braze it.

yah, i think i will do that. it just needs to be totaly leak proof, so brazing it is probobly goin to work. i hope it holds up.

 

its the only way to do it....use a torch and some brass

 

brazing is actually very very strong, despite what some people think.
i believe summit has the steel fitting though.

If you have a hydraulic shop nearby, you could pick up a steel one for $3.
